Executives spearhead growth and profitability; invest in them, keep them sharp.
Today’s complex and challenging world demands that executives continuously assess and adjust how they see the world and how they interpret it. The ability to adopt different perspectives, operate with multiple mindsets, be nimble and responsive is at a greater premium than ever before. Traditional college education alone can’t deliver.
Executive Education is essential and can help. But only if it sticks! But as the good bard said, herein lies the rub. Too often it doesn’t. So, what’s the way out?
Let me share with you a few building blocks I use for creating and delivering high-impact executive education programs that motivate both learning and doing:
- Relevant Content: solid content, embedded firmly in the context of the operating realities of the individual and the company, is non-negotiable
- Engaging Structure: there is a limit to how long busy executives can sit still, or how much they can take in through their eyes and ears, no matter how dazzling the quality of the PowerPoint slides; hands-on learning events and experiences, like workshops focused on pragmatic challenges, such as developing a value proposition for a new business, are absolutely essential for executive education to stick
- Emotional Learning: emotional learning is more powerful than mere cognitive learning; it is essential that the program engage both the minds and hearts of the attendees, anything less will not suffice
- Interactive Delivery: dynamic and stimulating delivery are merely the cost of doing business; what matters most is the degree to which the attendees are involved, the extent to which they help shape the in-class conversation
If you would like to offer your executives – your most valuable assets – a different learning experience that offers new learning, engages them both emotionally and intellectually, and drives meaningful actions back on the job, please contact me.
